Overview
Tiny Farmers Market ("we," "us," or "our") connects local buyers and sellers of homemade and homegrown food. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign in with Google, we receive the name and email address Google shares with us. Sellers also provide a shop name, pickup location, zip code, and any listing details and photos they choose to post.
Messages between buyers and sellers are stored so the conversation can be viewed later. Before an order is placed, messages are automatically checked for phone numbers, email addresses, links, social media accounts, and outside payment apps. That information is hidden from the other person, and the original message is kept so our team can review it for safety and to keep sales on the Platform. If you contact us or report a listing, we keep what you send so we can respond.
Payments are handled by Stripe, not by us directly. We never see or store your card number. Stripe collects and processes payment details under its own privacy policy.
How we use it
We use this information to run the marketplace: creating and securing your account, showing listings to nearby buyers, connecting buyers and sellers for pickup, processing payments through Stripe, sending order and message emails, and responding to support requests. We don't sell your personal information.
Cookies and sign-in
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and protect forms from misuse. If you sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies as part of that sign-in, governed by its own privacy policy.
Sharing
We share information between buyers and sellers only as needed to complete an order. For example, a seller sees the name of a buyer who orders from them (or the email address, for guest checkout). Your email address is never shown to the other person when you message through the site. We also share information with service providers who help us run the platform: Stripe (payments), Laravel Cloud (hosting and data storage), Resend (email delivery), and Google (optional sign-in).
Your choices
You can update your name and email at any time in your account settings. To delete your account or request a copy of your data, see our data deletion page.
